The Easter 2006 Egg Roll and Other Information
The Easter 2006 egg roll is an event which takes place at the White House, and for the Easter 2006 egg roll, the President and Mrs. Bush invited hundreds of outstanding youth volunteers as their special guests at the year’s Easter 2006 egg roll. These youth have answered the call to service and have truly made a tangible difference in their communities by volunteering through many local organizations.
These organizations include that of the following: Big Brothers, Big Sisters, YMCA, Campfire USA, Citizen Corps, and Learn & Serve, and as well, these youth are supported by Youth Service America.
Local artists created the decorated eggs for the Easter 2006 egg roll, and this represents each state and the District of Columbia; the Easter 2006 egg collection continues the tradition that began in 1994 where each state sends a decorated egg to the White House for display. The collection is coordinated by the American Egg Board, and each egg is truly astounding in regards to its decoration.
More About This
For over a hundred years now, children have gathered on the South Lawn of the White House on the Monday after Easter to roll Easter eggs across the yard and meet the Easter Bunny. If you are interested in getting your own children involved in this so that they can be a part of it, then you will want to speak to someone on a legislative board in your area so that you can get further details.
Depending on where you live of course, the instructions will be different, and so you need to realize that this is why it is so important to speak to someone from your own area, and you can also do research on your own. The staff members at the White House that coordinate this event try to make sure that they get children from a variety of different areas across the United States, and this is great because then you have better odds.
Just remember that Easter is a time for fun, and so if you do not get to put your children in it one year, just try again the next, and make sure that you have other games and activities ready for them that they can play with you, so that they can still enjoy themselves and have a great Easter, with or without the White House egg roll celebration.
