The Easter Parade: From Movies to Reality
Easter is a time of joy and happiness, and most of us get together with family and friends to celebrate and rejoice. Easter is celebrated on different dates by the Catholic and Orthodox religions, but they all do one thing in common and that is dye eggs, cook traditional Easter dishes such as, lamb, turkey and many types of pies, as well as have fun in the presence of family and friends.
The Movie: Easter Parade
To give the people something more to enjoy on Easter day the musical called Easter Parade was made in 1948, starring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland. This movie had some of the stars’ best known songs such as: “We’re a Couple of Swells” and “Steppin’ Out with My Baby,” among many others that brought joy and happiness in everyone’s home. Today you can purchase an edited special version of the movie Easter Parade,” which was released in 2005 and also includes the song “Mr. Monotony,” which was not initially in the movie.
