What You Should Know About Mold Exposure Symptoms
We all know that molds most of the time, only bring us hassles in health that are considered to be very dangerous when we get exposed or accidentally induce them. Probably the only benefit that we could have from molds is when we make certain kinds of cheeses like Brie, Camembert, or Stilton but still, if they are contaminated by molds that were not part of the process in their making, they should be cut off and discarded immediately.
Here are some lists of mold exposure symptoms that you may want to take note of for immediate action to prevent continuous health problems. Once you have detected these mold exposure symptoms, it is better to contact your physician right away for prevention and cure.
What You Should Know
When we get exposed to molds, they produce mycotoxins which are very dangerous for our health. We may not see them with our naked eye but we could ingest them through the skin, mucous, and airways and once they are inside our bodies, they could then colonize and spread. Because of this, they could bring problems to our immune systems and damage the everyday processes of our bodies.
As a result, mold exposure could bring us diseases like hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to molds and spores, Mucotoxicosis or the poisoning by food products that contains fungi, Mycetismus or the ingestion of performed toxin, and infections. There are many mold exposure symptoms we may want to take note of to tell us if we are infected with health problems brought by molds.
The Signs
One of the most common mold exposure symptoms is the hypersensitivity when we get re-exposed to molds and often times, it could lead to anaphylaxis. Sometimes, mold exposure symptoms could be headache, sinusitis, nose bleeds, sudden weight changes, irregular heartbeat, vision problems, swollen lymph nodes, memory loss, asthmatic signs such as wheezing, coughing, burning lungs, and shortness of breath, and respiratory distress.
Other mold exposure symptoms are yellowing of nails, ridges, or white marks on the nail, difficulty in swallowing, anxiety, depression, large boils on the neck, night head sweats or drooling when sleeping, intermittent face flushing, joint or muscle pain or stiffness, hair loss, spleen, liver, and kidney pain, reproductive problems, brittle nails, seizures or body twitching, bruising or scarring easily, cancer, heart attack, and may be death when it comes to having extreme level of exposure to molds.
Please note that these mold exposure symptoms never fit all of the above criteria but most of the people with Mycotoxicosis meet at least eight telling signs that were mentioned. It is always best to contact your doctor first to be tested and for confirmation, prevention, and cure.
